For Women Intensive Outpatient Program
Focus on Recovery (FOR) Intensive Outpatient Program provides substance misuse treatment to women, including pregnant women, and women with children who are in need of intensive treatment, allowing those who have jobs, and a stable home environment, to gain support from a community or recovering women.
FOR Women provides the foundation necessary to have a strong recovery as it focuses on group psychotherapy and psycho-educational lectures. While group therapy provides the opportunity for women to gain support from a community of recovering women, educational classes help break down the disease of addiction. The length of treatment is typically 8-10 weeks, however, the length of stay is based on medical necessity (using ASAM Criteria to determine level of care), and differs based on individual need. Program components include, but are not limited to:
- Individual and group psychotherapy
- Psycho-educational lectures
- Recovery related assignments
- Attendance at self-help meetings (AA, NA, CA, HA)
- Intensive relapse prevention track
- Peer support
- Aftercare planning
